In a city like Los Angeles, the competition is very tough. Every time a job is posted, it gets a lot of attention. Sometimes thousands of people apply for the same job. When you look at all these people’s resumes, they seem similar. They have degrees and work experience. So why do some people get called for interviews and others do not? After working with people who are looking for jobs for over 25 years and writing more than 1,000 resumes, I can tell you that it is not always about being the most qualified person for the job.
